In his collegiate era, Beat Rat was known for his boundary pushing approach and indignant attitude. Being the iconoclast that he is, his second full length album explored a world that seemed to be entirely against him while still managing to use the tools within the same system that entrapped him. He demonstrated clear growth through a more mature sonic palette, but never stopped speaking to the youth that he uplifted in his earlier years, all the while remaining critical of the vices harbored by both his peers and mentors alike.
